Project 365 – # 167 A Self-Portait inspired by crappy TV

Yes, when I get home from school, I sometimes need to have a little rest before doing my work.  Normally, I’d pick up a book, however, sometimes, the day has been so draining that I can’t even face that. So sometimes, I indulge in watching some crappy TV. And normally, when I get home, it’s a re-run of some archaic series of America’s Next Top Model.  It’s hardly prime viewing, but actually, I skip much of the drama, and only really enjoy the revealing of the photographs, and watching the photographers work.

One week, they were doing a shoot in New Zealand and they were using lace to cast interesting shadows on the model’s faces.  I didn’t have any lace, nor am I anywhere near a model of any kind however, I did come up with a self portrait using the shadows of the blinds in the sky-light. Not quite so glamourous…but hey!

  1. I really like the portrait, Becky! You are a very pretty young lady and you remind me of my lovely wife, Penny, when she was slightly older than you (I met her when she was 20)! You are just the type of girl I would have gone for 40 years ago! Don’t do yourself down!

    Cheers

Any thoughts?
